Job Summary:
Trane Technologies is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer – Project Manager to join the Integrated Supply Chain team in St. Paul, MN. This role will manage and lead productivity, NPD, capacity and other transformation projects, processes, and systems focused on exceeding quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
This position is the primary communication link between internal and external stake holders, leadership teams and project teams to deliver projects on schedule and on budget; identify and update risks and contingencies as well as developing options during the project.
This position will be on-site and based out of our St. Paul, MN location.
Position Responsibilities:
- Project pipeline development, prioritization, management, and communication.
- Project schedule, cost, and resource management.
- Critical path management.
- Communication and escalation to stakeholders as necessary.
- Develop and run weekly project update reviews.
- Evaluate and implement innovative, cost effective, reliable, comprehensive processes and techniques which will improve the effectiveness of manufacturing to deliver projects to exceed customer and business needs.
- Manage and lead teams on productivity projects and SCRUM process to complete continuous improvement activities relating to the design, manufacturing, and testing of new and/or existing products.
- Participate in Independent Design Reviews (IDR) and various project reviews to ensure manufacturing readiness efforts are completed effectively, and with desired results.
- Confer with management, engineering, production, and product management to determine feasibility, manufacturability, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
- Functional owner of site Project Portfolio Management system (TTPPM) and site change management process.
- Ensure compliance with all manufacturing aspects of Trane Business Operating System (BOS) Product Development Processes.
- Establish and maintain an operations budget for assigned projects per project scope.
- Create and revise project schedules including generating tasks, estimates, dependencies, and milestones using Gantt charts.
- Report out to various level of management.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of new processes, tools and/or equipment.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment of at least a year.
- 3+ years of project management experience preferred with a proven track record of bias for action and delivering results.
- Strong Project Management skills with Gantt chart tool usage.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Minimum, intermediate knowledge of personal computer applications required (Excel, Work, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience in lean manufacturing environments.
- Experience with visual management systems.
- Excellent professional communication; both verbal and written.

Base Pay Range: $90,000 – $120,000
