Contract Position

$44.42-$57.20/Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead department/organization processes for developing, implementing and maintaining various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
  • Develop and plan manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
  • Prepare build analyses and cost estimate reports.
  • Lead integration of complex suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
  • Participate in source selection to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
  • Develop complex tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements. Manages tooling from initial design to end of use disposition.
  • Lead investigation and resolution of complex or systemic manufacturing related issues.
  • Leads teams performing producibility assessments of design concepts.
  • Support enterprise level benchmarking to incorporate best practices.
  • Lead development of complex work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
  • Develop scheduling templates for use by others.
  • Draft, update and review processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Develop and document new job practices, techniques and standards.
  • Work under minimal direction.
  • Review and learn design engineering specifications and processes for production capability.
  • Create procurement plans from Engineering designed parts lists.
  • Create installation plans from Engineering drawings.
  • Solve technical issues encountered along the way.
  • Identify process improvements and risks, and support the overall Production Engineering Process, from the design phases through the on-aircraft installation/test phase
  • Support drawing producibility reviews and incorporations of engineering requirements in Gold. And other non-containment requirements.
  • Build plan development for lab construction
  • Job planning, fabrication orders, work orders (GOLD preferably), part tracking

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s combined with 6 + years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical skills base.
  • Sble to employ critical thinking skills, understand the “big picture” and enjoy integration challenges of large and small systems.
  • Desire to review, learn, and interpret Engineering Drawings/Specification in order to help translate them into workable job plans for implementation by skilled Technicians and Platform Mechanics.
  • Experience or completed coursework within Aerospace, Systems Engineering, electrical, and Mechanical Engineering.
  • Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Active security clearance
  • Prior Aerospace Engineering experience
  • Experience managing projects and tasks lists
  • Ability to learn new processes and software tools
  • Ability to communicate with larger teams on task progress
  • Specific requirements: Surge support for the Systems Labs and UK E7 Programs
