Job Description
The Screening Core is a dedicated division of Guardant Health, focusing on the development and commercialization of early cancer detection including the Shield portfolio. The Screening Core’s singular focus is to develop and bring to market early cancer detection products with the speed and urgency needed to achieve the organization’s ambitious goals and to serve the millions of individuals who can benefit from early cancer detection.
About the Role:
The Market Access Director-Employer Accounts is a seasoned professional in the U.S. employer and/or managed care reimbursement business setting. This individual has extensive experience developing and executing on employer programs with large employers who provide benefits via self-funded health care plans. You should have a proven track record of successful partnerships with top US employers and have numerous strategic relationships you can leverage in this role. You have also demonstrated success at partnering with various channels (employer benefit groups, employer benefit advisors/brokers, and employer health technology assessment organizations).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and executing an account plan for building awareness and driving utilization of Guardant Health products with target employers and employees
- Manage multiple strategic national and regional employer accounts
- Set strategy for accounts that aligns to company’s sales and revenue goals
- Influence key stakeholder within employer and employer benefit coalitions and employer health benefits advisors
- Collaborate and proactively communicate with screening core market access, sales, and medical affairs for sales territory related issues and tactical execution
- Partner with employers to develop CRC screening programs for employees
- Gain direct contracts with employers to provide Shield to eligible employees
- Influence employers to provide coverage for Shield for eligible employees
- Track, research, and report on all competitors and competitive activities for Guardant products
- Provide regular updates to Managed Care, Screening Core Commercial, Marketing and Medical teams
- Develop tactical plans to counter competition with targeted accounts
- Monitor marketplace developments and provide updates to Screening Core Commercial team
- Achieve all goals and objectives
Qualifications
- BS or BA required, MBA a plus
- Extensive experience in the employer benefit market or related experience, and a demonstrated track record in driving favorable partnerships with employers
- Established relationships with or reliable access to key large national and regional employers and related influence groups that impact access to our products for patients and employees
- 7+ years strategic account management experience, preferably with employers
- Extensive experience negotiating agreements involving multi-stakeholders leading to win-win agreements

Additional Information
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,232 to $207,200 USD. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
