Responsibilities
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Forecast and Market Analyst to join our Commercial Marketing team. This analyst will work cross-functionally to develop and support BI requirements across the marketing organization. This analyst will become the resident expert on market data and will focus on delivering insightful reporting to internal stakeholders and senior management. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with the toolbelt to use data to answer open-ended questions and present findings across business units to achieve buy-in. This is a hybrid role requiring some on-site work in Durham, NC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze market trends, product sales, and distribution inventory to produce the monthly market forecast which feeds the factory supply plan
- Own, develop, and maintain KPI reporting for commercial team
- Play a key role in designing, testing, and implementing Product and Commercial Marketing data sources via SQL queries and Tableau visualizations
- Provide high level reporting to senior management on a weekly/monthly basis
- Utilize Tableau and Excel to streamline manual data processes
- Liaise effectively with application developers, manufacturing teams, product managers, and internal IT resources to scope, execute, and test BI reporting tools
- Provide ad-hoc data analysis to product management and commercial team members
- Perform regular Oracle and business application updates through various data upload utilities
Important Skills
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, engineering, or related field; or equivalent
- Technical:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel ability; pivot tables, power query, data slicing, and validation are second nature to this individual
- Understanding of manufacturing forecasting methods
- Desire to become a Tableau guru
- Business:
- Impeccable attention to detail with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Excellent communication, organization and professional presence
- Intrinsic drive and flexibility; able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
- Prior experience with learning and mastering new software systems

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience writing custom SQL queries
- Experience with SAP
- Dashboard development experience in Tableau or other BI tools
- Experience planning UAT for dashboards and applications
