The Market Intelligence Analyst will develop, interpret, and manage the Market Forecast and Intelligence business for BMW/MINI in the markets of the entire C4 region. The incumbent contributes to presentations toward the Senior Executive level in Munich (e.g. VS, PK/SK) as well as workshops (e.g. E-Product workshops). The output is also used in several strategic planning processes, most prominently the Long Range Plan and the Strategic Market Forecast as well as the intra-year update of the sales plan and the Budget plan for the following year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align reporting requirements with C4 executives, sales, finance of BMW
- Define, implement, maintain, validate and, extend reporting tools and dashboards based on business requirements (e.g. Drill-down Sales volume dashboards) across the entire C4 markets, with special attention to the US as the largest market
- Derive a deep understanding of segment-specific pricing trends in the C4 and US markets, incl. specifics like lease/ loan business model, Residual value, regional-specific built-to-stock configurations
- Monitor the economic environment/compile economic outlook for management and provide an overview to BMW management for use in strategic planning and presentations
- Align and deliver contributions to presentations of C4 Senior executives (e.g. VS, PK/SK)
- Collaborate with the LRP/ SMP/ Price Strategy Senior Analyst on the elaboration of the planning proposals for the Strategic Market Forecast (SMP) and the Long Range plan (LRP) (“4-eyes approach”) including the analysis of CO2 premises and relevant impact factors for the C4 markets
- Monitor market developments in data analytics to improve the forecasting tool set
- Evaluate and analyze external data sources and data processing tools prior to a purchasing decision
- Contribute to best-practice sharing with planning functions in Canada (C4-CA-B-P) and Latin America (C4-LA-B-P)
- Educate and supervise interns on specific projects/ tasks

The pay range for this role is $74,831 – $87,642.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional work experience in data analytics and/or programming
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Finance / Marketing / Operations / Economics / Computer Science / IT/ Accounting / Mathematics / Statistics) or equivalent work experience
- Excellent analytical and methodological skills including using advanced Excel techniques (incl. pivot) as well as Python, Tableau. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI preferred.)
