The Morgridge College of Education (MCE, the College) at the University of Denver is accepting applications for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator. This position is part-time, non-benefited, working an average of 20 hours per week. MCE is a graduate professional school dedicated to creating positive change by unleashing the power of learning. Position Summary
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator supports the Morgridge College of Education Office of Enrollment and Marketing. The Coordinator will author marketing content, collaborate on campaigns, and participate in the management of MCE digital communications. This includes efforts on social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and the MCE website, student outreach, and event promotion. The position works directly with the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications.
Essential Functions
- Collaboratively plan/schedule social media and communications efforts
- Create content and collateral for digital communications platforms, including social channels
- Provide support for recruitment and marketing outreach efforts
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong working knowledge of popular social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram
- Organized and self-motivated
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills including knowledge of grammar and punctuation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Office 365
- Experience authoring professional content for social media platforms
- 1+ years experience in a similar role or a recent relevant OR a relevant certificate or degree and 6+ months in a similar role
- Experience working with diverse communities
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience in the K-12/higher education or non-profit sectors
- Experience with analytics (Google, Facebook, etc.)
- Experience with Canvas, Adobe, or other asset creation platforms
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines
- Experience with Drupal
- Familiarity with both Windows and macOS environments

- Standard office environment
- Noise level is quiet to moderate
Physical Activities
- Ability to sit at a desk and in front of a computer for an extended period of time
- Occasionally required to move about the office or campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.

Hourly Range
The hourly pay range for this position is $19.00 – $23.00.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidates’ sex or any other protected status.
