Marketing Communications Assistant

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Marketing Communications Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the development of various marketing materials and communications, proposal and prequalification submittals, digital media efforts, and other marketing tasks.

Essential Functions

  • Assist various marketing and business development efforts
  • Write copy, edit and proofread a variety of marketing mediums including newsletters, social media, proposals, videos, websites, industry awards submissions, advertisements, and brochures
  • Curate compelling social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive engagement
  • Develop social media posting calendar, monitor content, and track engagement
  • Complete company prequalification forms and surveys
  • Support digital media efforts (i.e. websites, intranet, video marketing, etc.)
  • Other various tasks including ordering promotional items, investor relations activities, data entry, event support, scheduling meetings, printing, shipping, pulling reports, maintaining marketing material inventory, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location
  • Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a professional organization is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and active listening skills
  • Strong interviewing, fact-checking, and research skills
  • Knowledge and familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a complex workload

WHAT WE OFFER

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary $20.00-$25.00 / hour
    • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
  • Two days per week remote work option for non-field roles depending on position and performance.
