Marketing & Communications Intern – Summer 2023 (Remote)

Job Summary:

BDO is seeking a driven Marketing & Communications intern who is motivated to do meaningful work and gain valuable experience and skill sets in a people-first, growth-centric environment. The Intern will work closely with a Marketing & Communications Manager to support diverse individual and group projects. The Intern is responsible for assigned projects, working hands-on with team members to see them through to completion and presenting the project outcomes. The Intern will bring value to various teams through their effective project management approach, critical thinking skills, engagement with peers, and unique perspective.

Job Duties:

The intern is responsible for executing on projects as assigned across a variety of teams in the Marketing & Communications department.

Project support

  • Works with team members to understand goals and objectives of project outcomes
  • Executes on project tasks as directed
  • Communicates project status and risks as needed to project leaders
  • Completes project reports, as needed
  • Asks clarifying questions as needed to complete project work and drive project success

Marketing & Communications Support

  • Drafts communications to diverse audiences with the department and across the firm
  • Moves various deliverables through the development process by compiling and submitting needed information from project leads
  • Audits documents and coordinates edits ensuring up-to-date information
  • Audits various platforms driving an enjoyable and impactful user experience
  • Pulls and circulates timely reports as needed
  • Assists in market and competitor research to guide the Firm’s various go-to-market efforts
  • Assists teams in drafting and documenting operational efficiencies
  • Supports the department’s data quality efforts across a variety of platforms
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications, required

Software:

  • Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word, required
  • SharePoint experience, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

California Range: $21.00/hr – $25.00/hr

Colorado Range: $21.00/hr – $25.00/hr

New York City/ Valhalla Range: $21.00/hr – $25.00/hr

Washington Range: $21.00/hr – $25.00/hr
