College of Engineering and Computer Science:
The UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science is among the nation’s largest producers of engineering and technology workforce talent and we are the No. 1 provider of graduates to the defense and aerospace industries. We have more than 40 degree and certificate programs within the college and are continuing to grow. Our students, faculty, and alumni address society’s greatest challenges and aspirations in aerospace, computing, energy, the environment, healthcare, transportation, and more. The Opportunity:
The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) is seeking qualified candidates for a Marketing Communications Specialist I position. The Marketing Communications Specialist I will develop creative, strategic, informative, and engaging communications content and campaigns, including but not limited to email, website, social media, and print content. The position will collaborate in developing ongoing strategic communication plans. The position will draft media alerts and press releases. The Marketing Communications Specialist I will develop and implement a plan to best leverage social media platforms utilizing current practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Connect regularly with the chairs and other Departmental faculty. Connect with the College unit to coordinate marketing efforts for the Department and College.
  • Support the social media outlets for the College. Develop and communicate social media content for the College as needed.
  • Regularly update the Departmental websites while being certain to follow UCF standards.
  • Develop and create print collateral and digital assets to support the communications and marketing initiatives of the departments and the college.
  • Disseminate departmental stories at the local, regional, national, and international levels as appropriate.
  • Create and disseminate a monthly newsletter of stories encompassing all departments.
  • Help with the marketing of select College activities (E-Week, Senior Design, other).
  • Support appropriate Departmental efforts to attain higher rankings in the US News and World Report (e.g., Departmental magazines).

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 0+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree.
