The Role at a Glance

Lincoln Financial is expanding its marketing team and looking for an exceptional b2b marketer to help independent financial professionals grow their financial planning practices through innovative marketing strategies and tactics.

As a Marketing Consultant for Advisor Programs, you will provide the subject matter expertise and direction around all financial professional marketing initiatives designed to support FPs and their staff as they prospect to gain new clients and provide ongoing networking opportunities to retain their existing clients. This includes managing and coordinating the end-to-end design and delivery of best-in-class marketing campaigns, identifying new marketing tools and programs, expanding existing programs including websites development and social. You will also support our Diversity, equity and inclusion programs, work with our business development team to define new opportunities and support our Premier Partner program designed for our leading FPs.

Working in a marketing agile pod structure, you will be collaborating with internal stakeholders and marketing partners including creative services, video production, events, data & analytics, marketing centers of excellence and distribution channel business partners.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and manage the implementation of advisor driven marketing campaigns and strategies to assist FPs to build their brand, expand their reach, recruit new end-clients, and retain existing end-clients
  • Oversee the creation of all content and campaigns including:
    • Digital campaign strategy and industry best practices
    • Social Media
    • Website and SEO optimization
    • Video marketing
  • Create content and outreach for our Women’s advisor group and African-American advisor group. Recruit new FPs to the DE&I advisory councils.
  • Launch new advisor focused strategic initiatives including the National Planning Institute featuring a wealth of tools and expertise to help build financial plans for end-clients
  • Develop materials and outreach to our top financial professionals through our best- in-class Premier Partner program.
  • Schedule and coordinate virtual end-client events focused on trending topics such as economic updates, retirement planning, cybersecurity, etc.
  • Lead marketing activities for our national and regional training and recognition events, live and virtual.
  • Develop content and materials for our AdvisorTrac, a unique practice succession program designed especially for LFN FPs.
  • Track results. Set KPI goals at the onset and report results during and post campaign. Continually recommend improvements based on learnings.

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

  • 3-5+ years’ marketing experience
  • 3+ years financial services experience, specifically working in the independent financial professional distribution channel
  • Extensive social media and digital marketing experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
  • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong data analytics, measurement, and interpretation skills
  • 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s)
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail
  • The ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure data integrity and consistency
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint)
  • Strong understanding of MarCom and related technology
  • Remains current in profession and industry trends

Nice-to-haves:

  • Working knowledge of Eloqua and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Proficient with web and web browsers/tools
  • Previous marketing agile experience

Pay Range: $65,700 – $118,300

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
