Overview

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for administering and supporting a broad scope of Marketing functions for Moody Center. The position will support the venue’s social media, database, and digital marketing. In addition, the position will actively participate in venue branding, community relations and publicity efforts in conjunction with other members of the marketing, sales, ticket and arena programming team.

This role will pays a wage of $21 to $24.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with conceptualizing and curating content to be used to grow the Moody Center database and organic footprint across all digital platforms.
  • Assist with content creation and scheduling for social media channels to support events, venue, guest services, promotional activity and premium sales goals, etc. in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the organization of event marketing efforts and initiatives including but not limited to: marketing material (admats, digital assets, etc.) distribution, PR and media needs, show and venue photography and ticketing promotions.
  • Work in conjunction with other members of Moody Center marketing team to assist with promoting events, event sponsorships, premium efforts, community efforts, media partners, trade partnerships and group marketing campaigns on a show-by-show basis.
  • Assist with digital marketing efforts including but not limited to Ticketmaster marketing, email marketing, managing email acquisition campaign, email design, campaign performance and optimization.
  • Serve as on-site marketing department representative for designated events (e.g. duties may include media escorting, sponsor and/or promotional partner implementation, media partner implementation, content capture and creation, etc.).
  • Assist with uploading assets on all venue digital platforms.
  • Monitoring sites and engaging in real-time social media activities during event announcements and on sales, event days, etc. Includes answering questions online and via email.
  • Ensure synergy between Moody Center and The University of Texas Athletics for social media, web & email to coordinate efforts.
  • Support creating and submitting all show settlement materials.
  • Assist with other duties as it relates to the marketing department & the requests by leadership team.
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an accredited university, Area of Study: Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Communication Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • Self starter with 1-3 years of related work experience.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to interact effectively with diverse client groups.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and proofread marketing material.
  • Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends.
  • Experience in digital marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a team setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator preferred.
  • Knowledge in CapCut, video editing preferred.
  • Knowledge of the music industry preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
