Job Summary:
The Hythe Vail Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving go-to-market execution, ultimately resulting in room nights and revenue for the property, and leveraging data and guest segmentation to drive results. The ideal candidate is an excellent project manager, a creative and critical thinker, exhibits attention to detail, has Hospitality or Product Marketing experience and has been in previous roles accountable for driving marketing ROI and revenue targets.
This role involves evaluating market trends and competitive research, managing all marketing communications efforts, including advertising, website management, social/digital marketing, public relations programs, onsite collateral and sales collateral/presentations.
This individual should have a proven track record demonstrating drive, ambition, business acumen, and emotional intelligence. This is both a strategic and tactical role, and relationship building will be a key component of success. The position requires the ability to leverage data and insights in order to provide actionable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner to cross-functional stakeholders.
This person will work in strategic partnership with Ownership, Management, Luxury Collection Brand, Marriott and On-Property teams to build and execute marketing plans. They will develop briefs, messaging and oversee strategy for season-long campaigns and promotional events.
The Hythe, A Luxury Collection Resort, Vail Marketing Manager must be a good communicator, able to constructively give and receive feedback, as well as effectively collaborate with team members and prioritize workflow. He/she will have their hands in many different types of projects and be responsible for delivering results on-time in a very fast-paced environment. Agility and a positive attitude are crucial, as well as the ability to process and determine strategy from multiple data sources.

Job Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Strategic planning: collaborate with Leadership Team to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the resort’s goals and objectives
- Brand Management: Uphold and enhance the resort’s brand image through various marketing initiatives, including onsite and offsite events and tradeshows. Monitor online brand reputation and respond to customer reviews.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities that could benefit the resort
- Budget Management: Manage Marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI
- Campaign Management: Plan, execute and oversee advertising campaigns across multiple channels, including digital and traditional media.
- SEO Knowledge: Both onsite and offsite SEO are critical for increasing online visibility and attracting potential customers
- Web Content and Social Media Management: These are key channels for engaging customers and promoting the brand
- Public Relations and Partnership Development: Establish Partnerships with local businesses, online influencers, media and travel writers to enhance the resorts reach and reputation. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure their continued loyalty.
- Creative and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze marketing data and use it to make informed decisions. Generate innovative marketing strategies and campaigns
- Strategic Partnerships: Partner with Vail Resorts and Marriott brand teams to execute upon the go-to-market deliverables and timelines. Manage external vendors including agency partners, photographers and digital contracts
- Tactical initiatives: Including but not limited to, tactical support of property sales including website updates, limited copy writing, collateral creation, photography and engaging partners
- Content management and optimization for OTAs and owned digital platforms
- Leverage guest insights and data to drive effective marketing campaigns that deliver clearly definable results

Job Qualifications:
- 4 year college degree required. Emphasis in marketing, business and/or communications preferred
- 4-5 years of marketing work experience. Hospitality / Travel experience a plus
- Excellent English language and writing skills
- Creative and critical thinker
- High degree of organization and project management, attention to detail and level of professional conduct. Self-starter, ambitious and multi-tasker
- Target start date: ASAP

The expected pay range is $70,000 – $75,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
