Marketing Post Graduate Intern – Graphic Design

About This Role:

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for a Marketing Post Graduate Intern – Graphic Design, which is a temporary, full-time, benefits-eligible position for up to 24 months.

An example of job responsibilities includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Assist external units (Fan Experience, Marketing, Sales, Licensing and Ticketing) in creation and graphic needs. Develop, design and manage creative pieces for web, traditional and digital marketing
  • Work closely with Communications & Creative units to maintain and enhance K-State’s brand identity and ensure brand cohesion and consistency and work within established brand guidelines to develop innovative, memorable content that is consistent throughout the department
  • Produce organic, cutting-edge templates and designs for marketing staff to use in support of marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Assist in the development of yearly brand themes and coordination of theme-use throughout all ticketed sports

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, marketing, advertising or related field
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to: Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of NCAA and Big 12 Conference rules
  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Minimum of two years experience working in a collegiate athletic creative or design

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Commitment to two-year position
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment

Salary Range/Pay Rate:

$12.50 per hour (approximately $26,000 yearly plus paid overtime) in the first year; potential to earn $14.00 (approximately $29,120 yearly plus paid overtime) after completion of first year with a successful review and budget approval. Paid biweekly (26 pay periods).
