PSE’s Corporate Communications team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Marketing Program Manager: Residential Demand Response and Behavioral/Direct to Consumer Programs position!

Job Description
This position will lead customer marketing efforts for PSE’s residential demand response programs and residential energy efficiency direct-to-consumer and behavior change programs. The role is responsible for designing and implementing integrated marketing strategies to meet and exceed customer engagement, program adoption and participation goals, as well as measuring campaign and marketing program performance, campaign optimization, tracking marketing spend and return on investment and communicating results.
Aligns departments and initiatives on key company communication opportunities and ensures the needs, changing priorities and desired customer outcomes are reflected in program and initiative communications.
Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.
Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops and delivers marketing strategy, tactics and results aligned to program, product and corporate goals; implements the work plan and reports on KPIs and success metrics.
- Accountable for the success of program marketing efforts designed to meet regulatory-driven targets and program goals, including managing campaign/tactical performance, optimization and marketing budget forecast.
- Assigns and instructs the work of team peers as needed to achieve program and product goals and targets.
- Proactively engages key company staff and management to develop the communications and engagement experience and implementation work plan, for targeted customer groups.
- Aligns program goals, objectives and strategies with the customer’s needs, priorities and outcomes, as documented through PSE-driven customer research efforts. This also requires having an in-depth understanding of the company’s five-year plan (ISP) and how the communications experience is being addressed across multiple business units.
- Contributes to the ongoing planning and execution of customer research efforts including: identifying key research questions, leading primary data collection, reviewing draft data collection instruments and reports, and participating in research finding presentations.
- Performs emergency and storm duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, media, marketing, business innovation, business management or related field, and 7 years relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Direct experience in marketing communications with consumer, commercial, industrial and/or institutional customers within a corporate and/or advertising agency environment, with budget oversight responsibilities
- Proven experience in customer communications and engagement process improvement
- Proven experience developing a customer research plan and utilizing research findings to inform and improve upon customer engagement goals, strategies and tactics
- Knowledge of best-in-class practices for customer engagement both within and outside of the utility industry
- Track record of innovation and creative thinking
- Proven experience in managing complex projects with cross-functional teams and in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment
- Understanding of the techniques and processes needed to create a consistent and common voice across customer communications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skills and experience in collaboration and team building
- Professional level competencies necessary to comprehend, analyze, and influence a wide range of complex business units and corporate-wide initiatives and issues
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple priorities and irregular schedule commitments
- Ability to manage projects, work with other departmental teams and deliver on commitments
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
Desired Qualifications
- Marketing and sales experience within the utility or energy industry; development and execution of sales/marketing strategies that support new customer acquisition, lead generation and successful lead closure
- Understanding of utility demand response and behavior change programs
- LEAN certification, Project Management certification or Six Sigma certification
- Broad knowledge of gas and electric utility rates, business objectives, to include operations, customer service, finance, and corporate relations

The pay range for this position is $85,000.00 – $141,500.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
