Position: Marketing & Technical Writer
Division: Business Development & Customer Success

Nomad relies heavily on the written word, in both internal and customer-facing communications. We’re looking for an experienced writer who can move skillfully along a gradient of persuasive and technical projects; from ad copy to product specs, and all points between.
Marketing Communications (70%)
You’ll embed yourself in our customers’ worlds to understand their challenges and motivators. Owning all phases of the output, from research to execution, you’ll create written content that attracts, builds trust, gives value, and drives action. Typical projects might include:
- Case studies and white papers
- Blog articles
- E-books and other downloadables
- Product descriptions and other website copy
- FAQs and knowledge base articles
- Video outlines and scripts
- Press releases
Technical and Internal Communications (30%)
We rely on technical writing to ensure our solutions are top-quality, and that we are aligned internally around mission, procedure, and process. Working independently, and with internal teams ranging from Engineering to Customer Support, you’ll execute a variety of work, including:
- Sales proposal document packages
- Product specifications
- Training and development materials
- Human resources documents
In addition to the “pure writing” work inherent to this role, you’ll bring your conceptual skills to daily collaborations with the rest of Nomad’s Marketing and Creative group, a team that’s pivotal in defining our brand and corporate culture, and differentiating in the marketplace.
You’ll advocate for and drive change-making initiatives. You are growth-minded, and will stay versed in how emerging technologies like AI can help us serve our customers better.

- Required Qualifications
- A post-secondary degree in Journalism, Communications, or other related field of study
- 5+ years professional writing experience and a portfolio of relevant work, including:
- Marketing Communications
- Technical Writing
- Internal Communications
- Desired Qualifications
- Experience researching and writing in a journalistic style
- Knowledge of government contracting practices and procedures
- Familiarity with public safety, emergency management, and defense industries
