Job Description:
As a Master Epicor Scheduler at Mickey Truck Bodies, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our production processes to ensure the efficient utilization of resources, timely delivery of products, and cost-effective manufacturing. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and fine-tuning production schedules in the Epicor ERP system, with a focus on meeting customer demand while maintaining inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as subject matter expert for production planning, scheduling, and job processing functions of the Epicor ERP.
- Maintain master production schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets and customer delivery and installation deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, sales, engineering, and manufacturing, to gather necessary information for accurate production planning.
- Continuously monitor and adjust production schedules to optimize efficiency and meet changing customer demands.
- Generate reports on production status, capacity utilization, and resource availability to facilitate decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the operations team to identify bottlenecks, production constraints, and process inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with sales team to make, monitor, and release manufacturing production jobs to meet master production schedule.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Expert level proficiency using Epicor ERP and scheduling software systems; experience with Epicor is mandatory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles a plus
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years of experience) in production scheduling, planning, or related roles within a manufacturing and or construction environment utilizing Epicor ERP
Salary $70,000 to $85,000 based on experience.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing Work Environment that will at times provide exposure to weather, noise intensity level, and proximity to moving mechanical parts.
Physical Demands:
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
