Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Material and Fleet Management Manager to support our Logistics Team as a front-line leader in Hertford, NC.

The Materials and Fleet Management Manager will lead the Logistics Team in supporting program level initiatives and implementing high customer visibility supply chain focused projects executing solutions that drive business objectives.

The successful candidate is someone who can join and lead teams, understand the strategic aspect of the program and associated initiatives, work in a complex organization, and can demonstrate their knowledge of the company and multiple functional subject areas to meet supply chain management goals supporting customer expectations. Candidates must be able to translate strategic goals into tactical actions that are understandable to the team.

Position Responsibilities:
• Provides overall management of the Logistics Support Services effort at the customer site for supply chain activities to include warehousing, inbound/outbound logistics, transportation, and fleet maintenance
• Oversees all planning, scheduling, and quality inspections of tasks performed in the Logistics department
• Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals
• Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of supply chain processes and/or suppliers
• Analyzes processes and makes recommendations to improve customer service satisfaction
• Creates and provides inputs to support monthly reports, financial forecast, including projected labor hours
• Prioritizes safety, quality and inclusion in the workplace
• Manage, develop, motivate and build trust with employees and stakeholders
• Develop the skill and talent of our team to meet the current and future business environment

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience in integrated logistics support, fleet management, supply chain management, and Performance Based Logistics/contracting
  • 2+ years’ experience as a lead, a supervisor, or a manager

Summary pay range: $94,350 – $127,650

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Logistics Support, supply chain operations and/or fleet management, to include at least two (2) consecutive years of supervisory experience in one or more of these areas on a requirement of similar size and scope of this effort.
