JOB DETAILS
Base salary starts at $17.50 per hour
1st Shift: 6:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday (Saturdays as needed)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage inventories and ensure that material resources are consistent with production schedules. The material planner’s responsibilities include determining material specifications, creating and maintaining inventory schedules, coordinating with internal departments, and managing external stakeholder relations.
- Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient
- Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production
- Coordinating with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc
- Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations
- Responsible for processing all work requests through the EAM system
- Prepare/review job requirements, labor and material needs, and equipment availability
- Interact as necessary with Suppliers of materials to support activities and initiatives. This may include obtaining quotes or bids and coordinating schedules with internal and external resources
- Create purchase requisitions as necessary for external materials. Coordinate with Maintenance Parts Specialist on lead times and/or delivery dates
- Work closely with maintenance supervision to optimize coordination of parts availability for projects and daily maintenance production support
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1-3 years’ experience in inventory, and material handling or a related position
- Strong organizational and time management skills and interpersonal skills to be able to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage timelines and schedules
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read and understand manufacturer’s prints and specifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Positive Communication Skills and ability to work well with all departments and trades
- Proficient Computer Skills. CMMS experience preferred
