JOB DETAILS
Base Pay range: $19.00-23.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift – 5:00 am – 1:30 pm
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transporting materials to different locations within the facility
- Maneuvering forklifts safely in busy industrial environments
- Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets
- Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
- Picking and wrapping orders for shipment
- Loading/Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
- Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
- Using industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to safely stack and package goods for transport
- Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency
- Securing loads to the machine before transportation
- Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
- Participate in cycle counts
- Identifying workplace safety hazards
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Lead or Supervisor
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Attention to detail
- Good knowledge of industrial equipment
- Ability to operate a two-way radio
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
- Spatial awareness
- Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Valid certification to operate forklifts (preferred)
- 3-Year forklift driving experience (preferred)
