The Warehouse Material Handler II is tasked with distributing, transporting, and accounting for merchandise, material, and/or equipment in industrial settings. Using a reference to inventoried items (or as directed by a supervisor), the associate locates items to be gathered, moved, or distributed loading and unloading trucks, picking, pulling, packing or stocking the production lines, verifying orders to strict schedules.

Salary Range: $21.50/Hr

Essential Functions

Responsibilities (Distribution & Stockroom)

  • Operate forklift and hand pallet jack
  • Use wireless RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory
  • Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
  • Perform daily precheck inspection of forklift
  • Identify and report safety hazards in the workplace
  • Consolidate partial pallets for incoming/outbound goods
  • Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstation

Responsibilities (Distribution)

  • Assists with training Level I
  • Perform advanced tasks withing the TMS System
  • Advanced processing of orders in UPS & FedEx manifests
  • Processes Amazon orders based on dimensional requirements (Vendor Central System)
  • Operate all material moving equipment
  • Performs advanced data entry/research within JDE
  • Pulls and issues transfer orders for stockroom
  • Interfaces with transportation companies and internal/external customers
  • Use wireless RF scanning equipment to perform stock transfers
  • Pull large sized orders (LTL, FTL and volume loads)
  • Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
  • Pick, Pack and Stage orders to be shipped
  • Perform daily precheck inspection of forklift
  • Supports Level 1 & 2 Warehouse Associates
  • Assists Warehouse Lead with daily assignments and setting of priorities

Responsibilities (Stockroom)

  • Assists with training Level 1
  • Supports of Level 1
  • Strong parts identification knowledge
  • Responsible for transfer of material to all work centers
  • Can operate all material handling equipment.
  • Perform daily precheck inspection of forklift
  • Use wireless RF scanning equipment to perform stock transfers
  • Assists Warehouse Lead with daily assignments and setting of priorities
  • Leads a small team in monthly and annual cycle counting as required by Supervisor

Requirements

  • Intermediate Math Skills
  • Aptitude for learning automated and computerized processes for inventory control.
  • Knowledge of various material-handling equipment
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • JDE preferred

Essential Skills (Distribution)

  • UPS & FedEx or other related shipping manifests
  • Vendor Central System

Essential Skills (Stockroom)

  • RF Smart or similar software experience
