Job Description
CRDF Global is seeking candidates for its 2023 Summer Internship Program in support of our DPRK Counterproliferation programs under the Security Assistance Division. The internship will be located in our Arlington, Virginia office and will begin on June 1st and end on August 31, 2023. We work in a hybrid environment that provides employees with a weekly mix of in-office and remote work.
Areas of specific interest and expertise are in the national security domain and will include one or more of the following fields:
- International affairs/security
- Nuclear security
- Counterproliferation finance
- Anti-money laundering
- Sanction enforcement
- Disinformation/misinformation
- Cybersecurity
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of the team and who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Major Responsibilities:
- Supports planning and organizational tasks for meetings, workshops, trainings, grant competitions, site visits, conferences, and other events, both in-person and virtual
- Supports staff for program or division-wide initiatives
- Assists with document and information management to ensure records and databases are current and complete
- Supports other programs and staff, as required
- Works with other interns in the development and implementation of a group project
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Possesses or pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with other countries and cultures preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and willingness to learn more advanced software, such as Airtable, is preferred
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week with a maximum of 28 hours per week
- U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required
CRDF Global pays interns at a rate of $16.50 per hour.
