Job Summary
Analyzes the inventory and material ordering process using the ERP system. Oversees and analyzes all material activities for multiple locations to ensure compliance with inventory management policy and ensure product availability. Ensures security and accountability of inventory through ERP transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and review. Performs maintenance of item master data integrity through the creation of item(part) numbers and ensuring the proper parts set up is being used to ensure proper inventory levels in the ERP system. Performs daily analysis of material and parts out-of-stock data, identifies trends, identifies root causes, and issues corrective action to prevent future shortages. Performs daily MRP and requisition reviews and analysis, including processing and forwarding out-of-stock requests to Buyers. Coordinates, audits, and oversees physical inventory counts at assigned business locations. Provides advice and recommendations to management on discrepancies and makes adjustments to ensure reconciliation and accuracy of inventory. Provides support and training to Maintenance Supervisors and Parts Clerks on inventory management procedures. Serves as a liaison and system advisor between Supply Chain, Maintenance, Parts rooms, Environmental staff, and Fleet Engineering. Identifies potential supply chain failures as part of the planning process and mitigates associated risks. Identifies process improvement opportunities for quality, accuracy, and efficiency gains in inventory management. This position will regularly work from divisions other than FLHQ.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required. Education may be substituted for experience at a rate of 1 year of related work experience per 1 semester of education. Business courses of study preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Two years previous work experience in inventory analysis and control, including working with re-order points, monitoring stocking levels, item master data integrity, and physical inventory count verification. Solid understanding of supply chain principles including purchasing, inventory, logistics, and warehouse operations. No less than two years work experience in an automated inventory system (ERP), preferably JD Edwards. Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel; basic proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
To carry out essential functions of this job, must have a valid Utah’s driver’s license with no more than four moving violations in the past three years; or, if a non-driver, must be able to travel efficiently by another means to and from varied locations within UTA’s service area. Lack of a driver’s license does not necessarily preclude employment. No applicant may have more than one violation of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs within the last ten years.
This job requires regular and predictable attendance.

Pay Rate: $50,500.00 to $58,000.00 depending on experience
