Details:
A Materials Application Engineer job in Cincinnati, OH is currently available at Belcan. To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in materials science or materials engineering.
Materials Application Engineer Job Duties:
• Create specifications and requirements for non-metallic raw materials
• Collaborate with suppliers and document supporting data for the qualification of new raw materials
• Establish and execute mechanical test plans
• Evaluate and document test results
• Create and modify Data for Ordering (DFO) documents
• Support raw material supply chain issues including material shortages, material obsolescence, qualification of alternate sources of supply, regulatory changes, material quality, shelf-life extensions, and material formulation changes
• Create technical presentations
• Work in a lab environment
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or similar
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder)
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a materials application engineer
• Must be able to work on-site in Cincinnati, OH. No remote candidates will be considered
• Ability to work well within a team environment and strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Polymeric Matrix Composites (PMC)
• Experience with raw materials used for PMC
• Experience with design or manufacturing of PMC
• Experience with the design or manufacturing of aerospace components
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $75,000 to $100,000. However, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
