A Materials Handler job in Chantilly, VA is currently accepting applications. This is a contract to hire position with our key aerospace client. In this role, you have the opportunity to support sales goals by contributing to all aspects of inventory and warehouse functions for the company. The responsibilities include all facets of maintaining inventory like kitting, cycle counting and data entry.
Materials Handler Job Responsibilities:
– Put away parts in the correct locations
– Be responsible for kitting; Components for production and outside processing
– Issue parts physically and in the MRP system
– Perform daily cycle counting
– Assist in locating parts physically and digging into transaction history in the MRP system
– Participate in inventory verification/investigation and adjustments
– Maintain locations in MRP system
– Keep area clean and organized
– Perform other duties as assigned
Materials Handler Job Requirements:
– High School Diploma or equivalent required
– Some experience in Inventory required
– Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment preferred
– Experience preforming inventory transactions in an MRP system preferred
– Keyboarding skills; Must be able to type accurately and fairly quickly
– Kitting experience preferred
– Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook
– Strong attention to detail and highest levels of accuracy
– Must be able to work well in a team environment
– Must be able to comprehend and perform duties in accordance with an ISO9001 Quality System
Physical Requirements:
– The employee will spend all day on their feet, standing, lifting, reaching and stooping
– The employee can expect to spend time kneeling or crouching
– The employee will be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
