NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

Salary Range

$65,300 – $125,400

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

What Your Job Will Be Like

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a Tactical Planner to join our Infrastructure Services Maximo Support Team!

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Collaborate with key customers to assess issues and needs to define technical Maximo solutions and enhancements.
  • Lead Maximo training initiatives working across multiple organizations to ensure users can fully use the Maximo tool in support our mission partners.
  • Engage in collaborative research in partnership with Maximo technical staff and users in the design, development, and testing of Maximo software to meet facilities business needs and processes.
  • Develop user acceptance testing documentation, facilitate user acceptance testing and evaluate results to ensure enhancements meet facilities business needs and processes.
  • Support Maximo user access and permissions administration.
  • Provide planning review of all site development ideas, alternatives, and selections.
  • Communicate methodologies, analyses, and recommendations to customers, partnership management, and the strategic planners, engineers and facility portfolio managers.
  • Understand all pertinent building/facility systems to ensure they will meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Update databases and information technology applications; maintains reports and metrics.

Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite 100% of the time.

Qualifications We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business or Engineering plus eight (8) years of Engineering/Design, Facilities, or Maximo experience; or a Master’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business or Engineering plus four (4) years of Engineering/Design, Facilities, or Maximo experience; or an Associate’s degree in a relevant discipline plus twelve (12) years of Engineering/Design, Facilities, or Maximo experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain and active DOE L-level security clearance.

Qualifications We Desire

  • Demonstrated experience evaluating facilities processes, issues, and needs to facilitate the definition of Maximo technical system requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and facilitating user acceptance testing for Maximo enhancements.
  • Knowledge of Sandia National Laboratories’ facilities and infrastructure and site practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to team across multiple subject areas.
  • Knowledge of the technical or operational subject areas within the facilities organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to successfully plan, organize, lead, and monitor team efforts to completion.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and complete tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with implementing Sandia’s policies affecting activities, projects, or initiatives.

About Our Team

The Work Coordination and Control (WCC), 4826, serves as the interface between Center 4800s role of authorizing and scoping work and Center 4700s role of receiving, planning, scheduling, and performing work. The WCC services include Facilities service request desk operations, coordination of work between centers, Maximo user support, warranty management, impairment/outage coordination, and Davis-Bacon determination.
