Medicaid Credentialing Administrative Assistant

The Medicaid Credentialing Aministrative Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources department and is responsible for projects related to the company’s licensures and requirements. Requires excellent people skills and knowledge of office systems. Must be detail oriented and able to manage large flows of information.

Compensation: $38,000- $40,000 (commensurate based on experience)

Responsibilities:

The Medicaid Credentialing Assistant will perform administrative duties including, but not limited to:

  • Maintains human resources records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, and other employee changes.
  • Support NYAP’s Human Resources department by acting as a liaison between Netsmart, employees, and our HR team members.
  • Assist in preparing new hire materials and onboarding of new employees by providing new hire information packets; and gathering and obtaining signatures on required forms.
  • Track missing information to ensure completion of files.
  • Assists with processing employment and personal references for job applicants.
  • Provides employment verification in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
  • Performs ongoing quality assurance audits of personnel files and HRIS.
  • Answer employees’ basic questions and resolve issues and assistant employees with Employee Self Service systems.
  • Coordinates the archiving of HR department records and files annually.
  • Performs general office duties to support the department, including maintaining office supplies and team schedules.
  • Handle special human resources projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degrees in Human Services, Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Medicaid credentialing expereince preferred.
  • High level of confidentially required.
  • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

Driving and Vehicle Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Good driving record
  • Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
