JOB SUMMARY
Act as a liaison to health care professionals, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and professional organizations by providing accurate and updated clinical, scientific, medical research and educational information appropriately supporting Medical Education and advisory activities of KOLs and professional organizations. Cultivate and develop relationships with new and existing KOL’s and thought leaders. Identify and communicate key clinical insights from industry leaders to appropriate departments to help shape company research, development, and strategies for Medline products.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS/ENGAGEMENT
- Identify, develop, and maintain professional relationships with thought leaders, academic centers and researchers to ensure and provide current and timely information about medical and scientific information on products.
- Develop new and existing relationships with thought leaders and KOLs.
- Participate in the development and execution of Medical Education activities which may include assistance in program development, conference symposiums/presentations, advisory boards, focus groups, and workshops.
INTERNAL RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Provide internal teams with feedback and insights from interactions and discussions with Health Care Providers (HCPs).
- Serve as resource to division management as it relates to Medical Education processes, plans and activities.
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide program/conference logistic support.
EVENT MANAGEMENT
- Serve as Medical Education event manager for conferences, national or regional trade shows. Maintain expenses within assigned budget parameters.
- Execute all messaging tasks associated with Medical Education programs; work in conjunction with the Marketing team as needed.
- Manage program faculty, agenda and content development.
- Collaborate with business partners to ensure program logistics and registrations align with business strategy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage and maintain program tracking database. Collect and analyze program data to evaluate program effectiveness and process improvement.
SPEAKER TRAINING
- Identify speaker training and development needs; vet appropriate candidates, onboard, and monitor progress.
PRESENTATION
- Work with Regulatory, Clinical Reviewers and Marketing as needed to ensure that educational, technical and promotional materials are accurate and compliant.
- Maintain KOL case studies for use in approved core presentations.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree.
Certification / Licensure
- None required.
Work Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in clinical practice, sales or marketing.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Experience establishing collaborative working relationships with clinicians, internal stakeholder functions (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, R&D) and external customers.
- Experience developing and delivering clinical presentations to internal and external audiences.
- Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
- Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint and Adobe®.
- Position requires travel at least 30% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or scientific related education.
- Experience negotiating with outside vendors.
- Prior experience with budget management.
- Communications planning and implementation experience (including the ability to integrate and coordinate various elements into an actionable plan).

The anticipated salary range for this position is $74,360-$131,040. The salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills and abilities. This role is bonus eligible. Medline will not pay less than the apllicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
