This posting will be used for 30 days to conduct ongoing recruitment and will remain open until the position and/or positions have been filled. Unit is Forensic. Shift is 8 am to 5 pm.
Why does the job exist?
Incumbent will provide advanced and Masters level clinical social work, services via direct and indirect services for patients admitted into the Forensic Division of NMBHI.
How does it get done?
Incumbent will carry a caseload, provide treatment, consult and collaborate and be a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team providing specialized clinical services to the forensic population admitted for evaluation and/or treatment.

Ideal Candidate
Ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with treatment planning;
Experience working with providing direct effective treatment to patients;
Experience working with various psychotherapeutic modalities;
Experience working with mental ill;
Must be licensed in accordance with Social Work Practice Act;

63-20 NMAC
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Sciences, Social Work or Counseling and two (2) years of experience in mental health and/or substance abuse counseling. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Working Conditions
Position will perform work primarily in an office setting with extensive computer and phone usage and exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal. Lifting up to (30) pounds may be required. Effective 01/01/2015, the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute became a 100% Tobacco Free/E-Cigarette Free Campus. As such, no tobacco, tobacco products or E-Cigarette products are permitted on any part of the campus/ Unit FTU. Work hours are 8 am to 5 pm.
