Job Description
Job Responsibility
- Pick up medication orders from patient care areas and delivers medications and IV preparations to the patient care areas in a timely manner.
- Pick up unused medications from the patient care areas and returns them to the pharmacy.
- Deliver floor stock requests to the patient care areas.
- Deliver controlled drugs to the patient care areas following strict guidelines for the delivery of these agents.
- Transport and exchange the twenty-four-hour medication needs for all patient care areas.
- Answer pages promptly and adhere to the system of completing the delivery tickets for all runs in the hospital.
- Perform duties in the event of an emergency such as sick call coverage, vacant position coverage, workload adjustments and projects.
- Performs related duties, as required.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Delivery experience in a healthcare facility, preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, required.
- Ability to use carts, beepers, pagers, etc., required.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Task oriented with good verbal and written communication skills, required.
