Here’s a summary of responsibilities:

The Manager of Sport & Athlete Products serves as the subject matter expert and business owner for multiple systems and solutions across the Sport & Athlete Services division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing projects and systems, with expertise in Salesforce and a broad range of other systems such as Tableau, data warehouses, event management solutions, learning management solutions, and resident management solutions. In partnership with the Director, Sport Operations, the Manager will be responsible for defining product strategy, developing roadmaps, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of the division’s business-enabling teams to be efficient in their work to support athletes and NGBs.

Here’s how you’ll have an impact:

  • Serve as the division’s subject matter expert and business owner for all systems, technologies, and solutions utilized across the division.
  • Define and develop product strategy and roadmaps for each product, working closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure they align with the USOPC’s technology strategy and the Sport & Athlete Services division’s strategic priorities.
  • Define and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, understanding that each product may have different KPIs.
  • Support the Director, Sport Operations in representing the Sport & Athlete Services division to the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to articulate initiatives to the program team to be prioritized amongst other organization priorities.
  • Facilitate the identification of potential business cases for future technology requests for the division. Advocate for the division’s business needs for new products to relevant internal stakeholders, including IT.
  • Lead the division in the elevation and constant evolution of ADA and USOPC Accessibility Policy compliance within technology solutions and documents.
  • Communicate product needs, roadmaps, and work plans to internal and external stakeholders, including third-party developers, through the collection and creation of functional specifications, business requirements, user stories, and data analysis from the business owners of the division. Design and deliver innovative solutions to meet business and customer needs.
  • In partnership with the TMO, manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring successful delivery of each project on time and within budget.
  • Oversee daily product management activities including writing product specs and crafting high-level technical and user experience flows. Prioritize product features and create a backlog of user stories to ensure delivery of business value.
  • Work closely with Sport & Athlete Services stakeholders to understand their needs and identify opportunities for product improvements through continuously gathering feedback and iterating on the product to ensure it remains relevant.
  • Analyze system data and feedback to identify areas for enhancements and make data-driven decisions. Collaborate with third-party vendors to assess feature and product opportunities and drive ideation for new initiatives and features.
  • Communicate product status and roadmap to relevant internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Partner with Business Innovation to monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure USOPC products remain competitive and innovative with market intelligence.
  • Build and manage relationships with key partners and vendors to ensure the necessary resources to deliver solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be effective:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably in a software or technology-focused role, ideally with experience in designing and implementing accessible websites and software applications
  • Strong experience with Salesforce
  • Strong understanding of the ADA guidelines, WCAG 2.0/2.1, and other relevant accessibility standards
  • Experience working with a broad range of systems such as Tableau, data warehouse, event management solutions, electronic medical records, learning management solutions, and resident management solutions
  • Experience managing projects from ideation to launch, with a track record of successful delivery
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA

Here’s some more information you need to know:

  • Hiring Pay Range: $67,542 – $85,778
  • Possible domestic and international travel
  • Occasional non-traditional or extended hours, including nights and weekends
  • This is a full-time, exempt position intended to work 40 hours per week.
  • Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program at a 15% target. This program is subject to change or elimination by the USOPC at any time at its sole discretion.
