***Hiring Bonus of $1500 total. $750 after 6 months of employment and $750 after 1 year of employment***
**$25.75/hr. base rate with $1/hr. differential as long as you are working on the Lowry campus for a total rate of $26.75/hr.**
Third Way Center is seeking a full time awake overnight mental health counselor to work as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team at one of our residential facilities working with high risk youth ages 13-20. We are looking for a creative and dynamic set of people who like to be challenged and seek to learn and better themselves professionally and personally. Our mission is to provide a continuum of services in a home-like environment where at-risk youth can work through their traumas and learn to take responsibility for their actions and lives to become productive members of society.
Responsibilities:
The Overnight Mental Health Counselor is a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team. The overnight is directly responsible to the team, as an assistant to primary therapists. This entails having an in depth understanding of both the organization as well as the individual houses overnight needs. This position will need to provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed. Supervision for this position is offered both within the team and via monthly overnight meetings. As a member of the treatment team it is essential to take on the responsibility of managing the milieu. Monitoring residents sleep patterns, committee and paperwork responsibilities, attendance, consequences, urinalysis screens, crisis situations, etc… is all part of the job. It is important to assist in keeping both the program and residents safe. Contact with on-call staff for guidance, supervision, or updating is expected.
Paperwork is necessary in keeping the program in order. Keeping files updated and organized, assisting with resident intake process, direct care of all basic needs, teaching independent living skills, setting up files, medication management and documentation. This position includes charge of the overnight census for the house nightly.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social work or related field. Can substitute two years of experience for educational requirements. The candidate must also possess a current valid Colorado driver’s license, have a clean driving and criminal record, be at least 22 years of age and have the ability to obtain QMAP, and CPR/First Aid certification. Additionally, the candidate must pass an extensive background and DMV check. We follow Federal Drug Screening Laws.
