Military Analyst IV – Marine Platform Lead

Responsibilities

Executes processes and activities to obtain system and platform initial operations. Leads certification efforts for installation of prototypes on maritime vessels. Responsible for implementing proper shielding and safeguards against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and Hazard of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance (HERO) and gaining certification of each once prototypes are installed and surveys have been conducted. Coordinates vibration and shock analysis studies on prototype. Responsible for the applicable certifications and/or processes that will be defined by the Government to define the exit criteria for the applicable solution (e.g., terrestrial, maritime surface, underwater, air, near-space, space, and cyber space). Analyzes and provides recommendations on issues dealing with disciplines such as military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, Military Tactics Techniques and Procedures (MTTP), force planning, and training exercises. Coordinates with user community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives. Analyzes the conduct and results of operational user training, military maneuvers or simulated wartime operations undertaken to main the capabilities of a force. Compares, analyzes and evaluates the relative merits of program designs and alternatives. Assesses the impact of programmatic and technical options on stated user requirements and doctrine. Prepares reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs and systems.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 8+ years of related experience or Masters degree and 6+ years of experience or PhD and 3+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading prototype teams using Agile concepts and methodology.
  • Experience doing design, development, or integration for space or cyber projects.
  • Experience providing technical and logistical support for worldwide operations.
  • TS/SCI Clearance

Target Salary Range
$86,000 – $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
