A Military Planner will independently collect, assimilate, and manage land use planning, community planning, and urban design project information for the team; prepare project requirements, constraints, and opportunity mapping and required analysis; assist in the preparation for and participation in client and public information meetings, site data collection visits, stakeholder interviews, charrettes, and in-progress reviews; prepare viable courses of action alternatives for evaluation including proposed plans for Department of Defense (DoD) facilities and installation requirements; and prepare high-quality illustrations and narratives for master plans and site-specific area development plans.
The Planner II will participate in all phases of document development, apply the guidance and criteria in the Unified Facilities Criteria series (particularly UFC 2-100-01) in plan creation, prepare conference minutes, work with facility floor plans and facility category codes, and narratively and graphically apply the planning process to documents.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, civil engineering, geography, public policy, or related area
3+ years of community planning, urban planning, city planning or facility planning
US Citizen
Willing to travel 10% of the time

Experience in or knowledge of the military services is preferred, but not required
