Schedule: Full time, 11a-7p Mon-Fri

Reporting Relationship: PAD Program Manager

Salary/Grade: $45,500 per year, 10 Exempt

Continuation of this position is dependent upon the renewal of the grant or continued funding.

About New Day PAD: PAD is a Pre-Arraignment Diversion model seeking to reduce recidivism among individuals committing low level crimes by offering social services in lieu of criminal justice system.

Responsibilities

Description of Position: The Anti-Trafficking Mobile Victim Advocate will work as an integral part of the city-wide expansion of the Police

Assisted Diversion (PAD) program. The Anti-Trafficking Mobile Victim Advocate will provide immediate contact, screenings, assessments,

and services to individuals flagged at all participating PAD police districts to individuals vulnerable to human trafficking, commercial sex, and

other overlapping victimizations. They will be stationed out of the New Day Drop-In center which is located in the Kensington area of

Philadelphia and serves vulnerable adults experiencing the intersection of opioid use, sexual exploitation and trafficking and serves over 900

individuals annually. Additionally, they will collaborate with the Philadelphia housing system to provide mobile housing assessments for

identified trafficking survivors in need of housing. This is a grant funded position and relies upon the continuation of funding.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • MSW degree or BSW with minimum two years’ experience working in human trafficking or a related field (e.g., domestic violence, immigrant rights, workers’ rights) in a role that involves service provision, training, and/or advocacy.
  • Experience with trauma informed care preferably a working knowledge of Sanctuary Model for Trauma informed services. Must understand the issue of Domestic and Foreign Human Trafficking and prostitution.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel from site to site as may be needed in the performance of duties. Professional-level communications skills verbal and written. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
  • Must possess an understanding of and support the mission of The Salvation Army.
