What you will do (day in the life):
In this role, you will manage the Element Modeling and Simulations team using engineering methodologies in an Agile, Digital Engineering environment planning and executing development and integration of various components for system enhancements to the GMD Weapon System .
Boeing Intelligence & Analytics is seeking a motivated and talented Modeling and Simulations (M&S) Branch Managers to join the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Systems Engineering, Test, and Readiness (SITR) Program.
Work Location: Huntsville, AL
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

You will also be responsible for the integration and adoption of best practices and Model Based Engineering. Responsibilities may include the following:
- Utilizing the GMD DevSecOps Software Factory to execute GMD Element M&S development, integration, and testing.
- Day-to-day direction of a team of engineers to include management, development and motivation of employee.
- Setting clear priorities to meet customer/stakeholder and business goals, to include max award fee capture.
- Staffing, hiring, and personnel management.
- Responsible for deploying Boeing Engineering Initiatives (Design Practices, MBE/MBSE, TLEs, and Development Excellence) and best practices, as appropriate, for improved quality and efficiency.
- Responsible for management of staffing levels, performance evaluations, performance development and career counseling.
- Management and execution of GMD Element M&S development.
- Support of engineering activities to support GMD Element Risk, Issues, and Opportunity Management.
- Support of Element Design Integrated Product Teams activities.
- Management and execution of GMD systems engineering digital engineering environment.
- Knowledge of Control Account Management (CAM) activities.
Requirements
- Experience leading M&S development in a DevSecOps environment.
- Experience leading systems engineering or software engineering teams.
- Experience using Systems Engineering processes and tools.
- Experience presenting to program leaders and customers.
- Experience with customer coordination pertaining to complex systems.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and must be able to work independently .
This position requires a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.
This position requires clearing a background check and an enhanced Personal Conflict of Interest (PCI) requirements as a condition for employment.
Desired Experience:
- M&S development of Low, Medium, and High-Fidelity simulations and emulators.
- M&S development in a Lab environment.
- M&S development of real-time and digital simulations.
- Experience using Cameo, Rhapsody, or other similar modeling tools.
- Missile Defense Agency (MDA) or GMD program experience.
- Requirements development experience
- Agile development experience
- Utilization of Digital Engineering environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
Required Education:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 7 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+5 years’ related work experience, Master+5 years’ related work experience).

Summary Pay Range:
$120,000 – $190,000
