Peraton’s National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit has a need for an experienced Peoplesoft Functional Lead to support its SITE III BES contract charged with the orchestration, sustainment, and evolution of a portfolio of applications that focus on the business functions (Acquisition, Training, Security, Human Resources) which facilitate critical administrative services across the Defense Intelligence Agency’s entire global workforce. The SITE III BES contract is designed to establish and ensure a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the supported agency directorates and branches. Our support team applies best practices in architecture design, data science, cloud services, DevSecOps and platform integration to develop, sustain and continually evolve the enterprise business systems environment, systems integration and back-end business process workflows.

The successful candidate will:

  • Perform MongoDB administration activities required to install and maintain database management software, design and implement predictive analysis.
  • Install, configure, provision, operate, and administer database management systems and related software and backend storage server and hardware platforms.
  • Design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability.
  • Provide support to the development and implementation of database policies and procedures to ensure databases’ integrity and availability, including software updates.
  • Communicate regularly with the development team, business, and operations teams to ensure the security and confidentiality of data.
  • Responsible for the availability, reliability, and integrity of business data stored in production databases.

BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to pass a poly
  • Must have a relevant technical degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience with hands-on database administration. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Active Security+ certification (DoD 8570 baseline certification for IAT Level 2)
  • Experience with MongoDB
  • Experience with VMWare
  • Experience with applying database STIGs
  • Experienced with troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues
  • Experience writing queries in support of customer requirements
  • Independently able to upgrade major database instances
  • Experienced with and independently able to employ multiple database backup strategies

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience writing SQL and nonSQL queries to generate system data reports, modify data as necessary, etc.
  • Experience with SQL Server, and other database platforms
  • Experience in database design and development
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • Familiarity with Agile practices
  • Experience with Amazon Web Service (AWS) Cloud experience
  • Advanced experience in database monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and high availability strategies for MongoDB
  • Experience architecting, designing, developing, and managing databases using relational databases such as SQL Server
  • Advanced knowledge of MongdoDB backup and recovery strategies
  • Ability to design, develop, and document technical solutions, standard operating procedures, and change requests.
  • Ability to administer Linux/Windows server-based operating systems and CLI w/ scripting.
  • Experience with capacity planning, utilization, and performance monitoring (Index, Table, Queries, and Stored procedures).

Target Salary Range

$112,000 – $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
