Join the Prince William County Department of Public Works’ Construction Services Team! The Construction and Operations Division builds and repairs the crucial infrastructure of the ever growing Prince William County through teamwork, innovative means and methods, sound environmental practices and above all else, safety consciousness. Qualified Candidates will either have a Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within their probationary period, must have basic knowledge of the construction principles and practices of operating a variety of heavy machinery. Must pass pre-employment physical.
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
This position is part of a 5 man crew, teamwork is crucial. Communication is crucial to the success of our projects and the safety of everyone else.
PREFERENCES:
The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of equipment operation experience; a positive, can-do attitude and a background in the heavy construction industry.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: 7am-3pm : M-F
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: CDL required within the probationary period.
ENTRY SALARY RANGE: $22.01 – $27.00
