Position Description:

CGI is looking for a dedicated and experienced MuleSoft architect to join the CGI team. You will lead the design, development and implementation of the integration architecture for the proposed solution.
To succeed in this role, you will need to communicate well with the technical team as well as with clients. The ability to multi-task and deliver under tight timelines is an asset in this position. Your future duties and responsibilities:
– Integration Platform design, implementation and technical ownership as well as the operationalization of the integration solutions for large modernization/transformation projects
– Document creation to gather design intent and detail for communication to client and implementation teams, including diagrams (Sequence, Entity-Relationship, Activity, UML format/LucidChart)
– Lead and Participate in the full software development life cycle from scoping, analysis, design, implementation, and quality assurance to delivery and support
– Evangelize integration methodologies and business case justification to clients
– Lead Configuration and set-up integration environments:
REST naming conventions
API endpoint taxonomy
Consistent Data Dictionary
– Configure APIs, proxy endpoints, API portals and API analytics based on technical specifications with MuleSoft API manager
– Design reusable assets, components, standards, frameworks, and processes to support and facilitate API and integration projects
– Advise delivery team on performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring and other operational concerns related to the integration solutions within the MuleSoft Product Suite (API Manager, CloudHub, AnyPoint Studio, Dataweave, Orchestration, ActiveMQ, Pub/Sub modules, etc.)
– Assist developers and analysts in conceptualizing, validating, and prototyping solutions that meet business requirements
– Train and mentor junior integration resources
– Participate in business development as needed
– Develop positive working relationships with client technical teams
– Work with Solution Architect to validate the overall integration design
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
– Project experience serving as a MuleSoft Architect leading integration teams (3+ years)
– MuleSoft Certified Developer Mule 4
– MuleSoft Certified Architect credential (Platform or Integration)
– Experience with MuleSoft and API Management with excellent knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture, Microservices, REST Concepts, Domain Driven Design
– Experience with a high-level programming language like C++, C#, JAVA, Python
– Strong understanding and experience with security implementations (e.g. SSL/mutual SSL, PKI)
– Proficiency with interface definitions and contracts; data encoding using XML or JSON; REST APIs or SOAP web services; SQL or NoSQL database access; JMS, AMQP or similar technologies
– Must have a consultative mentality and be comfortable working individually or with a team
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a consistent record in working with business users to handle expectations and address issues
– Ability to clearly express design intent and detail to client, both written and visually through diagrams (Sequence, Entity-Relationship, Activity, UML format/LucidChart)
– Ability to design integration solutions for scalability and concurrency
– Familiarity with multi-system integration and common issues that can arise when integrating enterprise technologies
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a consistent record in working with business users to handle expectations and address issues
Desired Qualifications:
– Ability to do some development when needed in Anypoint Studio
– Experience with other API management tools
– Ability to estimate Level of Effort and implementation timeline using MuleSoft services
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skillset, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $75,600 – $186,000.
