POSITION SUMMARY
A multi-skilled maintenance professional will be required to perform all job requirements and meet all qualifications as determined by management. The MSM shall perform duties under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, but works independently to perform installation, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting , repair, and/or design modifications of production, facilities, and utilities equipment including basic shop safety, plumbing, hydraulic/pneumatic, machining (as needed, if determined to be business critical), fabrication, electrical (excluding wiring &/or unwiring of devices), millwright and welding for the Fremont Plant. This entails optimizing system designs, maintenance and operations processes, satisfying all safety concerns, and participating in short and long range planning with respect to the equipment. Position makes decisions based upon sound maintenance practices and business needs. In addition, the MSM will support the NCE / TPM culture through active participation in processes that affect improvements in the areas of People, Quality, Service, Cost, and New Products & Processes are required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Attend necessary equipment / system training with the intent of becoming a Fremont Site subject matter expert. This will include the training of peers in the new technologies learned.
• Assists in the development, implementation, repair, and maintenance of the site wide equipment, to attain “World Class” performance.
• Performs system start-ups and operational checkouts on equipment including operational & performance qualifications and normal start ups after PME’s.
• Restore equipment to operational status after power outages.
• Defines routine maintenance inspections and planned overhauls for equipment based on frequencies, cycle counts or run hours to attain world class performance.
• Performs preventive and predictive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Provides operational support assistance to engineers and operations.
• Assists with specifying, organizing and maintaining adequate spare parts to support the asset base.
• Participate in the development of project scopes, design of systems, and functional specifications.
• Utilizes technical materials such as equipment manuals, MSDS, safety materials, system and equipment drawings, Process and Instrument Diagrams (PID’s), schematics, and blue prints to troubleshoot and maintain systems.
• Maintains plant documentation in accordance with management of change procedures and SAP AMM documentation.
• Acts as a safety backup for Boiler/Auxiliary Operators, when needed
Performs additional duties as assigned by Management and/or Team Leader(s).
• All employees will support and participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) as a part of there job responsibility within their Business Unit or as assigned within the factory.
• Employee shall follow Fremont Factory safety & environmental objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report unsafe conditions immediately, report incidents immediately or by the end of the shift, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
Job requires heavy computer as well as other technical knowledge to be successful. Performs transactions and/or records information in a computer. High School Diploma or GED required as well as other trainings.
EXPERIENCE:
4 years of industrial high speed manufacturing maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing
SAP or equivalent CMMS system experience preferred
EXPECTED SKILLS:
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
- Effective reading, writing, communication, and computer skills.
- Ability to obtain necessary certifications / licenses.
- Sound problem solving skills both as an individual and group
- Proficient in troubleshooting production, facilities, & utilities equipment and applying appropriate countermeasures.
- Proficient in the use of Hand Tools and Basic Power Tools (electrical and pneumatic)
- Proficient in Power Transmission Systems,
- Proficient in liquid / fluid components (valves, pipes, pumps, heat exchanger, vessels, etc).
- Proficient in Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems,
- Proficient in plumbing, utilities, welding, millwright, fabrication and machining,
- Knowledge of Servo control system and robotic system,
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits (below 480V), Controls, and Components.
- Knowledge of instrumentation including temperature, pressure, flow, mass density
