Job Description:

Web Based Learning Management Systems: Coordinate video capture events in-class, in studio, and other venues to support the PharmD curriculum. Be the point person to schedule recording sessions in studio and other venues as needed by faculty and staff. Use Canvas, Rev and 3Play to ensure lectures are properly labeled, tagged, edited, captioned and placed in the correct courses within our video management system Kaltura. Assist the instructional design team with placement of lectures, access to videos and issues that may arise.

Video Conference and Event Scheduling: Serve as the point-person for assisting our college faculty and staff recording Video Conferences (Zoom) as they relate to instruction, interact with central support groups to keep up with changes and participate in meetings that would be deemed necessary to meet the college’s video conferencing demands. Includes assistance, moderation, monitoring and coordination with live lectures, organizational presentations, and team-based learning sessions. Work with the UF Disability Resource Center and Verbit to make sure closed captioning needs for students are being met.

Audio/Video Technical Support: Support and maintain the Audio/Video systems under the control of the Video Production Group. AV systems includes: projectors, switchers, displays, microphones, video conference units, cameras, media encoders, speakers, amplifiers, and other peripheral equipment. Also provide technical support for events for the College of Pharmacy. Assist faculty and students with issues pertaining to access, entitlements, and troubleshooting the college’s instructional technologies.
10% Post Production and creative services: Facilitate post-production aspects of digitally captured content, assist with designing graphic content, editing, and collaborate with the instructional design team to create sharable multimedia resources. Offer creative solutions to create and deliver high quality and engaging digital content.

Audio/Video Installation: Assist with the activities associated with installation, deployment and upgrade of facility or classroom technology.

Expected Salary:

$55,000 – $62,000

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience. Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates should have excellent communication skills, outstanding oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment proactively, while still providing superior customer service. Practical experience in video production is strongly encouraged. Technical experience with the following technologies is necessary: editing programs such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro, Learning Management Systems such as Canvas, and video conferencing / collaborative software such as Zoom or other similar technologies.
