Somerset Hills YMCA is looking for artistic and passionate musicians to provide children and teens with Music Lessons for Guitar, Piano, Voice and Woodwind Instruments. Music instructors should be confident in working with a variety of age groups and helping others achieve their goals. Music Instructors should be comfortable with basic music concepts like music history, sight reading, scales and key signatures, ext. Under the direction of the Program Director, the Music Instructor will plan and teach lessons to children ages 3-11.
Essential Functions
- Ensures a positive member experience by interacting with participants in a fair and professional manner
- Set up and breakdown of equipment before and after class
- Arrives on time and is prepared for participants at the start of each class
Requirements
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- At least 1 year experience teaching Music
- Must be dependable, great with kids and most importantly really enjoy music!
- Must have the ability to demonstrate YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Salary Description
$15-20 per hour
