Summary
This position is in the Moral, Welfare and Recreation Department in the Navy Region Southwest. The primary purpose of this position is to provide quality customer service to authorized patrons in recreation activities, providing general information, services and ensuring the proper use of facility and equipment.

Duties
- Maintains gas and electric golf carts for rental use. Assures golf shop is kept informed of available carts. Provides customer with operating information, providing cart rules and restrictions.
- Retrieves down carts, changes tire, make repair or tows back to barn.
- May assists golfers with golf bags, score cards, returning golf carts, etc. Responsible for cleaning, parking and driving carts to and from parking berth area.
- Reports any damage or repairs required to supervisor.
- Performs housekeeping tasks to ensure proper appearance, cleanliness and safety of assigned area. May pick up driving range balls, wash and return ball, pick up and store course flags.
- Clean and put away golf hand carts, making minor adjustments if needed.
- Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures.
- Monitors and checks the security of premises.
- Follows established shut down and lock up procedures as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment
- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
- Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
Qualifications
- Must have a current driver’s license.
- Knowledge of the game of golf is desirable.
- Ability to maintain records and reports.
- Ability to perform minor maintenance of equipment.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Must be able to learn policies, rules and regulations.
- Possess a valid CPR Card and First Aid Card is desired.
