Naval Sea Systems Command Account Manager
Beast Code runs a tight ship, our company is growing quickly, and we require additional hands on deck! We’re looking for a leader to join us – someone who understand the NAVSEA environment, can manage customer requirements and expectations, who can work with project managers and software development teams to stay on course and deliver the products the Navy needs, when the Navy needs them.
Beast Code understands there are few people that have the acquisition and technical background needed to deliver software. We are looking for a person with knowledge of, and experience within NAVSEA. The expectation of this leader will be to work with existing customers to increase value of the software product through a comprehensive understanding of high-level requirements from the customer and an ability to convey those goals and objectives to the software development team.
This position requires a leader to engage multiple Program Executive Offices, SEA 21, Naval Warfare Centers and other support organizations across Naval Sea Systems Command to improve access to data to support better decision making and warfighter requirements.
This leader will maintain and improve relationships across the NAVSEA Portfolio. These attributes are needed to be successful for the position we are filling:
- Vision: This leader has the capacity to quickly learn and understand the company’s vision, so they can determine how best to prioritize requirements and work with our partners to deliver what the Navy needs… knowing our primary goal is to support the Sailors who will use our products.
- Communication: Not only will you have to see the vision with your mind, but you’ll also need to communicate it clearly to our customers and the team who will be delivering the capability the customer needs.
- Mediator: A calm demeanor and thick skin are a must, as you’ll be simultaneously managing the goal and balancing expectations between customers and the team delivering the capability. Managing multiple, competing, priorities to set realistic expectations from external and internal stakeholders may be the most challenging requirement of this position.
The ideal candidate will have years of experience within, or interacting with, the NAVSEA enterprise. You want a career with a leading software company supporting the DoD and other companies to make processes more efficient and effective.
You should bring these skills to the table:
- Excellent communicator – comfortable with Senior Military Leaders, St developers, stakeholders, and clients including Senior Military Officers
- Fast learner
- Ability to carry out tasks from start to finish
- Familiar and comfortable with the principles of Agile development
- Capable of assessing and mitigating risks
- Good people skills
- Project planning & requirements management
- Effective motivator
You score Bonus Points if you:
- Are able to frequent Beast Code Headquarters in Fort Walton Beach, Florida
- Are familiar with Navy software and databases, such as NDE, NMD, OMMS-NG, etc.
- Have a degree or experience in Software Development, Computer Science, or IT
- Have experience in DoD Acquisition
- Have experience with OPNAV and the Acquisition requirements process
- Have experience managing multiple teams collaborating on multiple projects
- Enjoy pouring over analytics and feedback to improve products and increase business value
