Job Description

Our Client, an American online payroll and human resource technology is seeking for a Network Operations Admin

Location: Grapevine TX
Position Type: Full-Time/Perm

Description
Assists in design and management of campus networks and related hardware and software; responsible for maintenance subscriptions and licensing, manages and configures Distribution and Core layer devices for the User-Networks, maintains network topology diagrams and documentation, and works to maximize uptime and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Network Operations:
Defining user network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; network device administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
Maintaining peak network performance through design and architecture, evaluating availability, utilization, throughput, and latency of the campus networks.
Expert knowledge of troubleshooting network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; Planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of networking equipment; helps define network policies and procedures.
Designing compatible network expansions in accordance to User Network standards
Managing projects for the setup of new networks and procurement of data center circuits.
Meeting regularly with providers for project updates and providing direction to vendors.
Troubleshooting network problems and escalating problems to vendors.
Securing network by implementing network access protocols, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.
Supporting peers and users on network related topics and technologies.
Driving network enhancements by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing the enhancements.
Meeting fiscal requirements by adhering to defined budgets.
Continually growing job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; staying up to date with industry standards and new technologies; reading professional publications.
Protecting the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Accomplishing organization goals by accepting ownership for completing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.

Documentation:
Documents specific duties, activities, problems solved and issues resolved
Maintains accurate topology diagrams and documentation of the network, applications and resources on the network.
Train team members in the client infrastructure and best practices.

Miscellaneous:
Attends meetings and serves on committees, as requested.
Performs additional duties and assignments as requested
Some afterhours work is required

Qualifications

Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree

Experience:
4+ years of Network Operations Experience
Cisco Network Administration
LAN/WAN-TCP/IP, MPLS, VPN
Network Performance Tuning
Cisco Routed Campus: Catalyst 9500/9300 Series
L3 Access Configuration/Maintenance
Network Design and Implementation
Thousand-Eyes Network Monitoring
Network Security Practices and Concepts
Wireless Networking
Monitoring and Alerting
Data and Voice Circuit Communications and Management
Emerging Technology Trends

Preferred Qualifications

Education/Certification:
CCNA

Salary : Level 3 70-106k plus ltip (20-30k) plus IT bonus
