The Global Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team

Next Generation Direct to Consumer (within Global Strategy and Transformation) is a newly formed team designed to help PepsiCo realize its next phase of growth. DTC will define and build innovative ways to directly connect with consumers creating more smiles with every sip, bite, and click. The group’s mission is to grow consumer lifetime value (CLV) across our portfolio through acquisition, retention, and engagement fueling PepsiCo’s growth, 2B over 5 years. The DTC team will leverage external/industry knowledge and expertise and building partnerships across key teams withing the organization to create unique, advantaged platforms for PepsiCo.

Through direct consumer engagement, we will build 1:1 consumer relationships via differentiated consumer value exchange/value propositions through the deployment of a direct-to-consumer network enabled by direct-to-consumer digital products powered by an intelligent consumer data platform building the necessary capabilities and culture to evolve from product and costumer centricity to also becoming consumer centric.

Responsibilities

  • Defining and building the new global PePLoyalty platform
  • Activating direct engagement with our consumers thorough 0/1PD capture
  • Connecting with our consumers through meaningful, fun, community-oriented activations across Web 2.0.3.0 and the metaverse
  • Unlocking Po1 portfolio opportunities.
  • Activating “Test and Learn” to scale
  • Improving brand affinity
  • Growing Consumer Lifetime Value (CLV)

The group will build new direct-to-consumer business as well as connect our existing DTC business through building common platforms for areas like capturing and enriching consumer data to expand consumer lifetime value by providing more comprehensive, valuable insights, and building necessary direct-to-consumer value chain components and tools.

The group will also become a central place for the DTC organization across the enterprise to connect and create an active community based on learning and knowledge sharing, generating new ideas (crowd sourcing), and improving existing efforts.

NextGen DTC Business Development Sr. Manager

This role will help develop strategies for consumer loyalty programs, direct commerce, consumer engagement, and strategic consumer priorities in existing and new markets. To enable the new consumer capabilities the NextGen DTC team is launching, this role must work with markets to identify opportunities and generate insights that underpin new offerings.

The NextGen DTC Business Development Sr. Manager will:

  • Manage strategy development for new NextGen DTC activations across markets and partner with relevant local leads
  • Monitor and analyze ongoing NextGen DTC efforts to 1) provide insights to relevant stakeholders, 2) inform other DTC initiatives, 3) design strategies to double down or course correct
  • Support S&T initiatives where NextGen DTC is leading
  • Identify new opportunities based on external trends and competitor activity
  • Educate cross-functional partners on NextGenDTC portfolio and capabilities
  • Understand market/sector/brand goals and develop relationships to enable NextGen DTC integration with ongoing sector initiatives

Compensation and Benefits:
• The expected compensation range for this position is between $106,300 – $177,850 based on a full-time schedule.
• Location confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
• Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out Annually.
• Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA a plus
  • 7+ years experience in either
  • Strategy/Transformation (ideally at a top consulting firm),
  • Internal business development (ideally at a leading consumer firm),
  • Similar experience in client-facing roles at a leading loyalty program provider,
  • Similar experience scaling a Direct to Consumer organization
  • Experience working on transformational initiatives and building stakeholder relationships
  • Ideally Direct to Consumer and/or Loyalty Program experience
  • Strong executive presence and ability to manage up
  • Experience independently running projects and workstreams
  • Problem solving and solution oriented approach
  • Curiosity – we will constantly be learning about new opportunities and the candidate should be a quick study who can propose integrations with our existing and potential portfolio
  • Cross functional experience – both the ability to partner cross-functionally and manage projects without reporting lines
  • Data driven approach – given the audiences and required transformations, the candidate must be comfortable working with data including identifying new, external sources and insights
  • Global outlook with sensitivity and awareness of social and cultural differences
