Position Summary:
The primary job function of the NOC Sr. is to assist in supervising the monitoring/maintenance the operational, performance and integrity of the company’s enterprise Infrastructure. This would include enterprise software/applications (including NOC team software/applications), hardware and network efficiency in a 7×24 on premise data center environment. Will also be responsible for definition of process road maps (KB), change management validations, user/system impacted incident management and resolutions. Must have good communication skills (including public speaking, critical business writing skills, process documentation and knowledge base article composure)
Essential Job Functions: Oversee the monitor/maintenance of all software products and the production environment on available tools; provide/review documentation for process changes and format updates; Coordinate administration of all NOC owned tools/applications including scripting, customizations, report building, alert modifications, automations and maintenance; Self manage risk minimization and exposure to system security and business interruptions on company’s infrastructure; actively participate in disaster recovery and BCP events. Report all tasks and project progressions to Manager. Scripting, coding and/or technical certificates will be required to achieve job functions. Willingness to expand technical attributes and assist/mentor others will be expected.
Essential Job Functions:
• Monitor/maintain operational, performance and integrity of enterprise Infrastructure
• Analyzes, diagnoses, isolates and identifies NOC system problems. Create short term solution to alleviate problem symptoms. Identify root causes and create and/or execute long term remediation plans. Contribute to compliance related activities such as reporting, baseline and verifications.
• Process documentation (KB)
• Administration and configuration of all NOC owned tools/applications including scripting, customizations, report building, alert modifications, automations and maintenance
• User/system impacted incident management and resolutions, including working with multiple IT groups, Incident Managers, open business communications and reporting to IT Senior Leadership
• Minimize risk and exposure to system security and business interruption on company’s infrastructure
• Mentoring/Training

Education:
• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology related field, preferred
Experience:
• 4-7 years of Network Operations Center (NOC) experience, applications, and related technologies
Knowledge and Skills:
• Certification or high level of understanding SolarWinds
• Certification or high level of understanding PRTG
• Certification or high level of understanding Splunk
• App Dynamics
• High level of understanding ServiceNow
• Certification or high level of understanding ExtraHop
• Incident Management Communication tools
• EverBridge
• Other monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, ScienceLogic, OpsView, BMC Helix, etc.)
• Other Log Monitoring tools
• F5 and load balancers
• Certification or high level of understanding Firewall/router/networking equipment
• Mastery of Enterprise level process and escalations
• Scripting/coding in Python, Java, Perl, C, BASH, Shell, and Windows PowerShell
• ITIL Foundations certifications (V3 or V4)
• Familiarity with Data Center Firelife systems, CRAC/HAVC units, UPS’, and Data Center Generators
