Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Candidate will be required to manage 2,000 + accounts
    • Build and strengthen relationships to achieve long-term partnerships
      • Expand relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
      • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
    • Resolve issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
      • Utilize the VTS team when necessary
    • Play an integral part in generating and retaining sales
      • Perform cost-benefit analysis for customers to meet their needs
      • Analyze the markets potential, track sales
  • Provide quarterly business reviews to management
    • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts using key account metrics
  • Attend and provide support at tradeshows
    • Manage tradeshow calendar
    • Register and provide appropriate literature for the event
  • Provide support to the sales team
    • Serve as the link of communication between customers and territory managers
    • Accompany reps in the field
    • Attend virtual meetings
    • Update the team regularly on any and all changes within the division
  • Monitor competition by gathering current industry information on pricing and promotions
  • Product knowledge
    • Emphasize features of the product that work best in the non-profit environment
    • Deliver presentations that are tailored to Non-Profit medicine
  • Collaborate with the Shelter Marketing Manager to create programs to drive focus on products
    • Create promotions on key products
    • SPIFFS for distribution and or Dechra sales team
  • Manage sponsorship programs/events
    • Confirm and determine when to sponsor events/programs
  • Work closely with distribution shelter team(s)
    • Provide training on new products
    • Communicate promotions
  • Utilize VPS to provide education and identify areas of opportunity
  • Be well-versed with the Dechra Loyalty Program and Non-Profit pricing
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Time management and multitasking skills in order to handle multiple tasks and clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  • Proficient in data analysis and Salesforce
  • Creative thinker that can uncover new opportunities for this segment of the Dechra business
  • Customer acquisition and retention
  • Goal setting and forecasting
  • Team player who can also work independently
  • Strong product and overall business knowledge within this specific market
  • Adept at written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in Salesforce
  • Self-starter
  • Creative problem solving
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years industry experience
  • Must be willing to travel
