The Product Owner brings exceptional learning experiences to life, leading product execution from initial strategy and analysis through in-field use. Drawing ideas and inspiration from users and stakeholders, they curate a thoughtful and strategic product roadmap that maximizes business value. They lean on their working knowledge as well as the ability to analyze and understand customer needs to help shape the product roadmap, identify innovation opportunities, and measure success.

  • Collaborating with product management and stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements;
  • Help defining and communicate the vision for the product;
  • Help create, manage, and prioritize, the product roadmap based on this vision;
  • Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements;
  • Involved in all stages of product design and development;
  • Primary responsibility for developing user stories in JIRA;
  • Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process;
  • Liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates;
  • Work with and provide guidance to a scrum team comprising of scrum master and developers ensuring user stories have clearly written acceptance criteria for grooming and sprint work;
  • Collaborates with the product and design teams and business stakeholders to exchange ideas on product features;
  • Define, track, and communicate product success metrics that lead to higher success, engagement, satisfaction, and business outcomes;
  • Create product documentation, release notes, and other training collateral that clearly and concisely communicates what products offer and how they can help users realize their goals;
  • Ability to learn existing product ecosystems quickly to build working knowledge and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three (3) years of related product ownership and/or business analysis experience, preferably in a SaaS product development environment

Certificates and Licenses: None required

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with agile methodologies and JIRA a must
  • Experience with Confluence, Miro, and Figma is big plus
  • Some experience with RDBMS (like PostgreSQL), Java, React and like technologies is a plus
  • Experience in technology-based product development initiatives
  • Passionate and skilled in gathering and interpreting user perspective so that requirements and design reflect real needs. Experience working with and distilling a wide range of functional needs into detailed stories
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external technology partners as well as non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous success working with multiple concurrent Agile software development teams (especially Scrum and/or Kanban)
  • Experience with online collaboration tools such as O365, Google Docs, etc.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Ability to travel 5% of the time
  • Ability to clear required background check

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.

  • We anticipate the salary range to be $47,926.88 to $83,698.50. The upper end of this range is not likely to be offered, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
