Pay Transparency:
The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: Local Candidates: $21.33-$26.67 – Travel Candidates: $25.33-$31.67 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K (provided minimum eligibility hours are met)
Position Notes:
- Nights .9 FTE, 12 hours shifts every other weekend Floating and 1 on 1 attending required.
- Student nurses who have completed two semesters of clinicals and will be completing and passing the Nursing Assistant registry exam within 6 months of hire will also be qualified.
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Successful candidates will be required to possess an active status on the Nursing Assistant Registry.
Job Summary:
The Nursing Station Technician is a hybrid position consisting of both Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles to deliver direct patient care and administrative duties. In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team on a fasted paced unit.
Role Overview:
- Patient care such as personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding.
- Maintaining unit desk area functions such as answering phones, processing admissions, discharging and transferring forms, transcribing orders, assembling patient charts and ordering tests.
- Setting up and maintaining patient rooms.
- Ordering and stocking of supplies.
Minimum Required Skills and Abilities:
- Previous experience as a Health Unit Coordinator, Nursing Assistant, or other related experience.
- Must possess exceptional communication skills such as clear speech, ability to read, legible handwriting, and strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, and hospital procedures is required.
- A self-starter, who is passionate about creating an exceptional patient experience, will receive top consideration.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support Certification
