An employer is looking for an NVH Engineer to sit onsite in the Greater Seattle Area. You will perform full-vehicle and subsystem simulation of heavy and medium-duty vehicles to assess ride comfort, structure-borne noise, and dynamic behavior that could impact durability; and guide Engineering Design in the development, tuning, and optimization of dynamic system performance. You will be working with 3 different teams while leading your own team of 5-10 people, who are located offshore.
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in NVH or structural dynamics simulation.
• Industry experience with structural dynamics, NVH in motor vehicles, Acoustics, Sound Quality Metrics, Modal Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, and Linear Vibrations.
• Experience coming from Automotive or Trucking.
• Experience in the use of concept mock-ups /parameterization in CAE, targeted towards NVH performance.
• Knowledge of vehicle structures and NVH sub-system analysis for Body/Chassis/Powertrain.
Knowledge of Automotive structural solutions for NVH design requirements.
